50 Years Behind the Brick Wall

My producing partner, Zoe Friedman and I worked on two docs delving into the origins of stand-up comedy. The Improv: 50 Years Behind the Brick Wall was released for the 50th anniversary of the club and featured Jerry Seinfeld, Larry David, Judd Apatow, Russell Brand, Bill Maher, Sarah Silverman, and many other comedic staples. Our second film, features some of the same seminal entertainment voices as the first but goes deeper into the backstory of the world’s first comedy club, founded in 1963, on the corner of 44th & 9th in NYC, by her parents. Working title: IMPROVISED: The story of America’s first family, of comedy.
